Ahu Ahu House has three well-sized bedrooms providing ample space for up to six guests to stay. Bedroom one offers a spacious queen bed and private ensuite, whilst bedroom two offers a queen bed, and bedroom three two singles which can be made up as a double. The privacy and secluded nature of this unique location along with the best high-quality linen ensure a comfortable sleep. You will wake to the beautiful sound birdsong each morning.

The stunning kitchen at Ahu Ahu House has everything you need to start your morning right, including a nespresso coffee machine to make that all important flat white. When you’re ready to kick back at the end of the day, the lounge also has a Smart TV with Freeview and Apple TV for your enjoyment. An outdoor alfresco dining and entertaining provides a gorgeous space to share a meal with the family, complete with a BBQ, dining table and chairs, a snug outdoor lounge setting within the amphitheatre plus another outdoor lounge setup on the platform above the house to get the best views of the valley. From here, you have the chance to truly unwind and embrace the surrounding Karekare landscape.
The Grounds
With the large amphitheatre connected to the house and platform above the house overlooking the valley, the property consists of 4.5 acres including one large wild grass paddock merging into the bush with views up to the cave and a beautiful groomed site suitable for marquee weddings and an orchard with views up the valley all nestled next to the Karekare stream.
Location
The property offers close access to Karekare Beach with it's on private track connecting to The Ahu Ahu trail which takes you to the magical sunset spot above Karekare Beach. The beach can also be reached by car or on foot in less than 5 minutes. A two-minute drive will also find you at Karekare Falls, a lush tropical waterfall that will make you second-guess whether you’re still in New Zealand. If you fancy a trip slightly further afield, a 12-minute drive will find you at the iconic Piha Beach, where you might enjoy lunch at one of the fabulous café’s, an adventurous climb up famous Lion Rock, or just a relaxing stroll along the beach. Come and experience a holiday home like no other and take in the majesty of Karekare.
